Your primary responsibilities will include installing and servicing fire, security, card access, and video camera systems for residential and small commercial clients. This role involves daily travel to client sites, within Pennsylvania, between Harrisburg and Philadelphia. Most client sites are generally local. We’re looking for someone with robust technical knowledge and exceptional customer service skills. Responsibilities Include:
- Interpret blueprints and floor plans
- Unbox, install, and wire fire, burglar, card access, and video camera systems
- Program and test all systems components
- Certify systems using SAH, Inc. and industry forms
- Document installation and service progress, including parts used and work orders, via a web-based platform
- Provide excellent on-site customer service, including training and technical support
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at client sites and an orderly work vehicle
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems
- Respond to system trouble calls, including intrusion, building access, and video surveillance issues
- Process documentation in line with company and customer standards
Where You’ll Be Located:
- Ideally based in Berks County or a nearby area
- Primarily work out of our corporate office in Shillington, PA.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

What You Bring:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to efficiently use a smartphone for communication, documentation, GPS navigation, and scheduling
- Strong customer service skills for effective on-site client interactions
- Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings and operational manuals
- Basic understanding of circuitry and experience with a multimeter
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and task completion
- Excellent organizational skills for managing tools, equipment, and records
- Preferred: At least 1 year of industry-related experience or equivalent education; cultural fit is highly valued, and comprehensive training for excellence will be provided
- Basic mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools
- Training in general safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, and quality systems awareness
Physical Requirements:
- Physical fitness to climb ladders and stairs, access elevated areas, and inspect system components at various heights
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Manual dexterity to handle materials effectively
- Capability to lift to 50 pounds regularly; heavier lifting with mechanical assistance or teamwork
- Comfort with moving safely within confined spaces, crawl spaces, attics, and other installation areas
- Vision: Visual acuity of at least 20/40 in one eye (uncorrected) or 20/70 with corrective lenses; ability to distinguish colors
